Brand Marketing, Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Brand Marketing, Project Manager is responsible for the overall on-time, on-budget and on-scope delivery of marketing materials. The Project Manager finalizes work plans, manages deadlines, coordinates internal and external project activities and collaborates with the functional team members in the delivery of projects. This position is based in Medford, Oregon.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedules/budgets
  • Manage schedules:
    • Drive assigned project through creative development, design production to final delivery.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional team to define resources needed for project completio n across multiple timelines & schedules.
    • Evaluate ongoing progress and status of projects, managing issue resolution and take corrective action as needed.
    • Dissemination clearly defined project schedules
    • Communicate with all levels of the organization regarding the project status, issues, approvals, risks and other pertinent information.
    • Flag any issues, late deliverables and communicate out to the team
    • Document all assumptions, dependencies, tasks and milestones
    • Provide timelines for asset delivery to facilitate prioritization discussions
  • Manage and monitor budget
    • Manage changes within projects
    • Work with Ad Agencies and Freelancers to stay within budget and timeline constraints
  • Coordinate project teams and agency activities
  • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure expectations are managed with regard to scope and progress in schedule and budget
  • Guide teams on mitigating risks on projects
  • Manage adherence to approved Marketing processes
  • Manages escalation plan for life of project and work as an escalation point when project issues arise
  • Manage and organize project documentation (tracking reports, schedules, spec docs, contracts, etc.)
  • Act as initial quality assurance for all provided project information
  • Provide summaries and notes from meetings where appropriate
  • Assist in project triage and assignment of projects to correct path for completion including management of project request lists and understanding of priorities
  • Ensures accurate and complete communication to project team of all project business, creative, legal, and technical requirements
  • Facilitates review/approval process of all projects
  • Participate in evolving and refining the project process for continual improvement & to provide best-in-class marketing services

Position Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent related experience.
  • 4+ years of project management in an agency or marketing production management preferred
  • 4 + years experience in Marketing, eCommerce, Corporate Events preferred
  • Proven experience in working with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams.
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Marketing and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans, preferred
  • Experience and comfort interfacing with cross-functional teams and internal clients
  • Process- and procedure-oriented with experience direct marketing transactional process development a plus
  • Understanding of an integrated marketing planning approach
  • Experience with web based projects preferred
  • Experience with Merlin or MS Project software preferred
  • Proficiency with PC’s and Mac; Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe preferred
  • Additional project management certifications a plus
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Trafficking experience a plus
  • Proven project management skills, including planning, execution and project follow through
