Service Desk Analyst 1

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for monitoring all systems in the Enterprise and performs or assists in performing system modifications to support performance problem resolution. The Service Desk Analyst assists employees in the resolution of general problems related to their desktop system, telephone or applications required to perform their primary functions. This position will process requests for software, hardware or system access and will participate in projects as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential in order to professionally and effectively interact with all levels of company personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills are necessary to prioritize and problem-solve customer systems issues.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based PC software, Active Directory, as well as familiarity with LAN, WAN and Internet functions is required.  Microsoft Certification and Remedy or Event tracking software training preferred.
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain composure while dealing with difficult situations and occasional demanding customers is essential.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Prior Service or Help Desk experience or working in a problem-solving technical capacity is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.
  • Work days will be Friday - Tuesday. During training, work hours will be 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to complete their skills screening at the Harry & David Employment Center. Screenings may be taken Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please allow approximately 45 minutes per each screening.
